Long Time No Write...

Okay...Time to catch up...It is May 9,2013...
We left Columbia, full of high hopes, and went to Phoenix, Arizona, where Dave got a contract job.  We were so glad to be back in the Southwest.  Once again, I wasn't finding any work, and as it turns out, they didn't keep Dave on beyond the three month contract.
So having no other choice, we returned to Michigan and lived in Mom's basement from August 2012 until mid-January 2013,  that's when Dave got a good job in Columbus Ohio making $75,000/yr.  We are living in a nice apartment complex with a pool and a garage.  But we have a secret we haven't told anyone...we have put money down to build a house!  Its a 3bedroom/3 bath freestanding condo that will be ready at the end of the year.  It will be so nice, but we just don't want to tell anyone yet, they will think we're nuts!  And maybe we are, but apartment living just doesn't cut it when you are 60 years old.
I am working a part-time retail job at a store called White House/Black Market. Just started last week, but I like it...could bring in $600/mo, which would really help us out. I still continue to send resumes for Accounting jobs...God will take care of us...

Well...things did not go as I thought. I had expected to b writing about moving to Madison, WI, but Dave did not get the job there, even though they flew him out first class and paid for two nights lodging.

So we are looking...lots of cities are on the horizon, but nothing serious yet. I will remember to keep quiet next time until we know for sure something is happening.

I got my flap realigned a little...not real happy with it right now, but not going to do anything else with it. It is what it is and I will deal.

So, since Dave is still looking, I am not. Hoping for some resolution to our life soon...God will lead us.

New Beginings...

Okay, so I have been keeping a hand-written journal for some time now, but decided maybe I would venture out into "cyber space". If you know me, I have been keeping that journal since my husband died in 2004. Maybe I will reminisce some time, but for now, its new beginnings.

Its October 2, 2011 and Fall is in the air. Trying to put into words what is going on in my life right now. This past summer I had my left breast reconstructed (since my mastectomy in 2007) and my right one lifted. I feel more like a woman than I have in four years now. Still some aches and pains, and still paying for it financially, but well worth it.

I have not worked since I was laid off from my last job in April, 2010. Partly because of this surgery I wanted to have for all these years and partly because I can't find one.

On top of that, we are living in Columbia, MO, because my husband took a job here a year ago. They have now reduced his salary due to reduced projects and so we are looking to move....again.

So who knows what is lurking around the corner for us? Only God and I put my trust in him!
